For Father's Day, the co-op offered its members the first strawberry pick of the year. So we gathered our pails and drove a few miles to pick some fresh berries. I only have a vague memory of doing this when I was young, but I was so surprised how juicy and sweet these strawberries were this year! It was a great activity to do with Grandma and Grandpa Goose.
Kellan had the luxury of riding in the backpack. He wasn't all that thrilled with being in there, he would rather have eaten his way through the rows and stomped over the plants on his way! He did get to enjoy the berries for lunch.
This is one of those FAKE pics that I had to take. Ben has no desire to eat anything without coersion these days if it doesn't have peanut butter and jelly involved (or chocolate). I tried to tell him that the jelly is made from strawberries, but no dice . . .
Both kids are really into spaghetti these days, but it is SO much of a pain to feed them and clean up. Of course, they don't want the decoy "big" noodles, they want the real spaghetti noodles. Kellan and Ben both can eat two bowls full of it, but half of Kellan's share ends up on the floor.Happy Father's Day to everyone out there. I know that both Andy and I are thankful that we have our own dads around to enjoy. They are both wonderful people who have guided us through our own lives. And to my own husband, who is an awesome dad . . . you are the best. I am so happy that these two boys will know what it takes to be a "daddy" some day :)

Love strawbeery picking, Parker ate his way through the rows! Your boys are SO handsome!
